EMT unit staffing will be in accordance with state law.

Continuing Educational Requirements

EMT – Emergency Medical Technician

EMT’s are required to meet the following CME requirements mandated by Wisconsin Statute Chapter 256.15 and Administrative Code HSS 110 for biennial re-licensure.

1. Biennial AHA BLS certification.  Current BLS card required.
2. Wisconsin EMT Refresher Course.

Paramedic

Paramedics are required to meet the following CME requirements mandated by Wisconsin Statute Chapter 256.15  and Administrative Code HSS 110 for re-licensure every 3 years.

1. Biennial AHA BLS certification. Current BLS card required.
2. Standard USDOT Paramedic Refresher (60 hours).
3. Biennial ACLS course attendance or certification.
4. Written certification by medical director in ALS skill proficiency.
