Continuing Educational Requirements
EMT – Emergency Medical Technician
EMT’s are required to meet the following CME requirements mandated by Wisconsin Statute Chapter 256.15 and Administrative Code HSS 110 for biennial re-licensure.
- Biennial AHA BLS certification. Current BLS card required.
- Wisconsin EMT Refresher Course.
Paramedic
Paramedics are required to meet the following CME requirements mandated by Wisconsin Statute Chapter 256.15 and Administrative Code HSS 110 for re-licensure every 3 years.
- Biennial AHA BLS certification. Current BLS card required.
- Standard USDOT Paramedic Refresher (60 hours).
- Biennial ACLS course attendance or certification.
- Written certification by medical director in ALS skill proficiency.
